Creeptastic Revelation of the Day

Alternate title: No, I Don't Want To Be Your Friend

Back when I had a MySpace account, one of my sister's ex-boyfriends tried to contact me. At the time, I thought it was a little weird, but didn't think too much of it. He had apparently tried to contact her as well, but she wanted none of it; the relationship ended very badly years ago. Also, she is quite happily married now.

I was a little surprised to see that the guy found me on Facebook and tried to contact me. No, dude, I don't want to be your friend. I never knew you very well to begin with. You dated my sister when I was twelve. We don't have old times to rehash. I'm not going to pass on any messages from you to the Sis, who wants nothing to do with you. What could we possibly talk about?

I think you're looking an online dating gift horse squarely in the mouth here. Not only is he familiar with your family already, but he's got a career! Occupation: obsessive stalker. You've dated worse--I've heard stories!

That's creepy on the order of when the Odd-Ra tried to contact me from that "@used2byours" address when we lived in Underhill. You know, after I had her arrested for charging $1800 to my AT&T calling card. Ah, the gift that keeps on giving! She scarred my credit rating with her love! How could I not want her back?

On an unrelated note, the verification word is now "butbarf". I just couldn't let that one go. As in, "I hope he doesn't try to get me to do a butbarf tonight." I don't know what that means either, but it's probably a sign you should try a different dating service.

No, it wasn't a dating site. The guy found me through Facebook. The online dating thing hasn't produced any actual dates, stalkers or otherwise.

I think the Odd-ra thing is creepier. This dude didn't used to be mine, he used to be my sister's. OK, so they're both creepy.

Word Verification: Favinal. As in, try new prescription strength Favinal twice a day to alleviate your butbarf.
